Despues de unos dias de no sentirme bien... llego el dia de Halloween... Devon (mi hijo menor) este año no tenia mucho entusiasmo de vestirse de nada... quien sabe porque ha estado resfriado y no se sentia muy bien... Austin (el mayor) por el contrario estaba que no cabia en la piel porque queria ir disfrazado de "PYRO" un personaje de un video juego llamado Team Fortress 2 por supuesto NO HAY disfraces de Pyro en las tiendas... y el todavia con la idea y con una mamita que no se sentia bien... El 31 ya al medio dia me senti mejor y con mas animos y viendo la carita de mi hijo le dije " no te preocupes papi ...mami va a ver como hace para con lo que tenemos en casa te parezcas lo mas que se pueda a pyro"... no hice terminar de decirlo cuando un par de bellos ojos negros de laaargas pestañas me miraban brillantes ...y el decia "de veras mami??" Y como poder decir que no??
After a couple of days of not feeling well... Halloween was here... Devon ( my youngest son) this year didn't have much interest in costumes what so ever... maybe because he's been with a cold and not feeling the greatest either...... Austin (my oldest) on the contrary can barely control the excitement about a "PYRO" costume. Pyro is character from a video game called Team Fortress 2... and of course there is NO Pyro costume in any store.... and poor Austin still with the idea and a mom that was not feeling good... The 31st mom was feeling better so in the afternoon looking at my son I said "don't worry baby... mami is going to try to make you look as close as Pyro as I can"... I didn't even finish saying that when two beautiful sparkling brown eyes with loooong lashes where looking at me..and my son said "really mom??"... So... how can I say no??
Asi es que me dije " manos a la obra" ...
So I told myself..."get to it"...
Este es PYRO... ( ya se imaginan mi cara!!! uff vaya tarea que tenia!!... )

Pero bueeeeno... puse LA NEURONA (jiji) a trabajar y lo primero que pense fue RECICLAR!!!
But weeelll.... I got THE NEURON (lol) to work and the first thing I thought was RECYCLE!!
Asi es que luego de hacer magia con fieltro, latas de soda, una tapa de detergente para lavar, carton , guantes para limpieza , pintura negra en spray (aerosol), foam, pintura acrilica roja , pintura acrilica gris, un marcador permanente, un mango de madera viejo y un poquin de imaginacion.... este fue el resultado...
So after some magic with felt, soda cans, a laundry soap cap, cardboard, rubber gloves, flat black spray paint, Styrofoam, red acrylic paint , grey acrylic paint, black sharpie, an old wooden handle and a bit of imagination... this was the result....
jajaja... Que les parece?? Yo estoy feliz porque mi hijo estaba en la nubes!! Cuando salimos la pasamos muy bien ... muchos comentaron sobre su traje y me dio mucha ternura el que dijera a todos "mi mama me lo hizo" ... La noche termino con muchos dulces en las bolsas.... un chico que no queria quitarse su disfraz y una mami con una gran sonrisa porque su hijo le dijo "Gracias por un excelente halloween"...
LOL...What you think?? I'm so happy cause my son was stoked!! We went trick-or-treating and we had a blast... a lot of people commented on his costume and for me it was so cute to hear him say "home made.. my mom made it" LOL...
The night ended with bags full of candy... A 14 year old boy who didn't want to get out of his costume ...and a mom with a grin on her face when her son told her "Thanks for a cool halloween mom"...
