Algunas cositas..

Esta semana ha sido de bastante ir y venir... he estado algo corta de tiempo... no me gusta decir eso pero a veces si nos sentimos como que quisieramos mas horas en el dia...

Esta es un "kleenera" o cajita para los "kleenex" (pañuelitos como algunas los conocen)...

This is a tissue cover ...not much into plastic canvas but I like how some tissue covers turn out.

Esta es un quilt para bebe... Es para el bebe de una amiga que llegara para el mes de Mayo...

This baby quilt is for one of my friends... her baby is due in May...

Esta es una "probadita" de lo que le envie a mi amiga del "Inter de Bichitos"...

This is just a "taste" of what I sent out to my "Bichitos Swap" partner...

Preparando cosas para mandarlas....Getting things ready to be send...

Estas son las cosas que voy a mandar para el intercambio de Stitcher's Angel... Nosotras nos hemos comunicado bastante y ha sido muy lindo conocer un poco del lugar de donde es (Holanda) de su casa, su vida ...su perrito "Paco" jajaja... (yo casi me voy de espaldas cuando vi que una mujer holandesa 100% le a puesto como nombre "Paco" a su perro jajajaja) ...En verdad espero que todo sea de su agrado..

This are the things I'm sending on the Stitcher's Angel Swap...My angel and I has been communicating a lot...it's been very nice to get to know more of the place she is from (the Nederlands), her home, I lil bit of her life...her dog "Paco" LOL..( I almost flipped when I heard that..what are the chances of a NEDERLANDS NATIVE to name her dog 'PACO'?? LOL)..But really all I want is for her to like everything I'm sending...

Lo mas divertido de todo es haber tratado por todos los medios de hablarle de mi sin revelar donde vivo y saben por que? porque ella tiene dos amigas justo donde yo vivo...y va a venir a visitar en Marzo... asi es que cuando se entere se va a quedar con la boca abierta!! Ella esta super entusiasmada con el viaje...y yo con conocerla... No dicen algunos que el mundo es un pañuelo? pues pienso que tienen razon..

I think the funniest thing about the swap was trying my best not to reveal where I live and you know why? cause she has two quilting friends from previous swaps that live here too and she has visited and ...she is coming in March!! She has been talking about it and is so excited about it that it took a lot of self control not to burst out and say "I'm here too"!! So I can't wait for that to happen... Don't some people say "it's a small world"... I think they're right!

Creo que lo unico que voy a agregarle son algunos dulces y por supuesto una carta...con una tarjeta hecha por mi... que tambien hago tarjetas pero nunca les he mostrado...tendre que hacer eso mas adelante...

Maybe the only thing I'm going to add to the package is some candy and of course a letter...with a cards made by me... cause I made cards too...humm I've never shown you guys...maybe I'll need to do that sometime...

Bueeeeno... como yo me apunte en seguida a la actividad... no preste mucha atencion a que clase de cuadrito!! en mi loca cabeza dije "patchwork"... peeeroo.... NOP! me equivoque... es crochet!!

Well... When I heard of Fer's gift I said "sure I'm in"...didn't pay that much attention to what kind of block it was...just thought "patchwork"..... WRONG!! it was crochet!!!

Y saben que?? yo tengo millones de años que no hago nada de crochet!! es mas... lo unico que hacia de crochet cuando estaba chica eran botitas para los bebes dinosaurios jajaja... bueeeeno ...no tanto no tanto... pero si... solo botitas de bebe... porque nunca tome clases ...sino que aprendi viendo a una maestra que le daba tutoria de algebra a mi hermana mayor ...mientras mi hermana trabajada ella tejia y yo.... echando ojo!! jajaja...

And you know what?? It's been millions or years since I've done crochet!! More so...the ONLY things I used to crochet were booties for the baby dinosaurs LOL!! Ok...it hasn't been THAT long but you get the picture...

Asi es que tuve que ir a refrescarme en crochet y encontre a Michael en You Tube... es un tipo fabuloso ... es como el Bob Ross del crochet!! su voz super suave y relajante te explica todo paso por paso ( con uno que otro comentario loco ) ... me encanto... Lo pueden encontrar en You Tube con el nombre de Mikeyssmail... o visitarlo en su nuevo blog.

So on I went in the hunt for tutorials to refresh my almost non existent crochet knowledge...and then I found Michael on You Tube... he is great...he is like the Bob Ross of Crochet!! his voice is nice and soothing ... he explains everything step by step (with a couple of crazy comments here and there )... I loved it... You can find him on You Tube under the name of Mikeyssmail... or swing by his blog

Con el en unos minutos hice mis primeros Cuadritos Granny! Que les parece??

Algo muy triste a pasado...No se si ya han leido sobre Terry ; Su esposo ha sufrido un lamentable accidente y le han tenido que amputar una pierna de la rodilla para abajo... Todos damos gracias a Dios porque John esta vivo pero tambien sabemos que es una situacion muy traumatica para toda su familia...Laurie otra compa~era blogger que hace quilts esta organizando en su blog www.ayankeequilter.blogspot.com una actividad para apoyar aunque sea de manera peque~a a Terry... Por favor pasen por su blog para mas informacion y ver como pueden cooperar...Gracias!!
Something very sad had happened...I don't know if you have read about Terry; her husband had a terrible accident and they had to amputate one of his legs from the knee down...We are all very grateful that John is alive but we also know how traumatic this may be for the whole family... Recientemente mi mami no se habia estado sintiendo muy bien pero gracias a Dios las cosas estan mejorando y ya se siente bastante mejor... mi mami es una mujer extraordinaria... amorosa...bella y con un corazon inmenso... ella es sencillamente mi heroe... A mami tambien le gustan mucho las manualidades... asi es que aqui les pongo su ultima alfombrita que acaba de hacer (la ha terminado hoy)... le gustan mucho y a mi tambien...y mas porque se que la distraen y la hacen sentir creativa... y eso alegra su corazon..
Recently my mommy hasn't been feeling well but thank God things are now more in the bright side and she is slowly getting better and her spirit uplifted...my mommy is an extraordinary woman...loving ...beautiful...with a huge heart...she is simply my heroe... Mom also likes crafts...here is her latest rug (just finished today)...she likes them and I do too..mostly because they keep her entertained and let her still be creative... and that makes her heart content...





Por ultimo aqui esta mi segundo objetivo del SAL de TILDA SANTA...de Marian...Me quede un poco tarde porque no tuve tiempo durante el dia de adelantar...pero no me quede taaaannnn tarde como hace unos dias porque mi CONCIENCIA ARGENTINA me dijo que me daria un TIRON DE OREJAS si lo volvia a hacer... y Xioeli me dijo que me saldrian OJERAS...y yo no quiero andar con orejas adoloridas ni ojeras por la rodilla jajaja... Mision cumplida!!
Last but not least here is my second homework for Marian's SANTA TILDA SAL... I stayed up late cause I didn't have that much time today to sew during the day and I wanted to finish it BUT I din't stayed up as late as last time cause my ARGENTINE CONSCIENCE told me she will pull my ears if I did it again...and XIOELI told me I will have bags under my eyes...and I don't want a sore ear or bags under my eyes down to my knees LOL!!...mission accomplished!!


Que les parece? Si les gusta la mitad de lo que a mi ...me sentire contenta... ;-)
